Who am I?

I'm Zarar Khan, an Engineer by day and a photographer by night.

My obsession lives somewhere between the gear and the image it makes. I read sensor readout times and dynamic range charts the way some people read box scores. I chase film-like photos through modern digital bodies. I think about why one camera renders skin tones with quiet warmth and another makes everything feel clinical, and I want to understand the engineering decisions behind each.

This site is where that obsession turns into writing. I cover cameras and photography with the same discipline I bring to industrial automation: measured numbers over marketing, working-pro reviews over influencer pitches, and tradeoffs stated plainly. When the answer really is "it depends on what you shoot," I want to show you what each choice actually costs you so you can make the call yourself.

No manufacturer sponsorships. No editorial obligations. Just the gear, the work, and what the evidence actually says.
